Pétanque has evolved, it’s true. That said, I think the bowls is a hobby, a psychological game, it needs to be very hard to win major competitions, but it is not a sport. Its champions, although they are formidable competitors are not athletes: indeed, in any sport, we can not win for forty years.
A good evolution, I believe, is that more young people grow older. The difficulty is that there are not enough.
The bowls will never be a professional sport. There are not enough back media, and too few financial resources.
We talk a lot, since a few months of classification and labeling of the various national competitions. Your opinion?
For me, a national is a national. It is the work of a team, a city we must respect that.
